Bethel's Youth Ministry provides a variety of experiences and opportunities throughout the year to draw junior and senior high young people into active, responsible participation in the life, mission, and work of our faith community and the greater church. We accomplish this by giving youth a place in our church family by supporting their personal faith journey. We encourage them to use their God-given gifts and talents with passion for ministry to others and helping them to claim God's promise for all Christian believers. In James 2:14-16, we are called to be both hearers and doers of The Word of God. There is a place at Bethel UMC for you to join together with other Lowcountry young people in fulfilling this command from God.
SUNDAY SCHOOL All students in grades 6-12 are invited to join with their peers in the Chip Center at 10:00 for light refreshments and to join their class.
Grades 6-8 focuses on a lively study of scripture led by Peggy Archambault enhanced with music, art, imagination, worship, and prayer designed to actively engage our middle schoolers.
SENIOR HIGH SUNDAY SCHOOL

YOUTH MISSIONS! The UMYF have a real heart for service. They have continued to participate in several different mission opportunities within the church as well as the community. They have collected hats for the MUSC Children’s Hospital, donated money to the soup kitchen, participate in the Special Olympics and Miracle League, and they continue to think of ways to serve our God by serving others.
