SUNDAY SCHOOL
Welcome to Bethel’s College Sunday School Class. We continue to meet on Sundays in the Education Building at 9 a.m. to share in a light breakfast to accompany our lesson time. Lessons are typically in a devotional format.
Our study focus during the month of January has been on “Righteousness.” My study Bible has close to 300 references to this important Biblical concept. One of the theologians that we have studied notes that “the ancient Greek meaning was tendency, the use of this word in the Bible implies justice and conformance to established standards. Justice means doing the right thing; and conformance to established standards (in the Bible) refers to following the ways of God.” During our study, we have looked at God’s guidance on how a college student can continue to grow towards a more righteous life, even while living in a campus environment.
During the month of February, the College Sunday School class will use the same study approach for the word, “Love.” We want to invite to join in our class discussions when you are home. If you prefer, we can email the lesson each week. Just let us know.
